Privacy Seal applicant sites CANNOT contain any one OR ALL of the following:
- Main page content consisting of text, graphics, images, video, and/or other references to sex/pornography without the CLEAR existence of censoring measures
- Links (a.k.a. hyperlinks) to the items mentioned (above), including affiliate site links
- Racial or religiously motivated prejudice or links to sites that contain racial or religious prejudice
- Unlawful act(s) or links to sites that commit unlawful acts (site operator must independently verify)
- Deceitful, misleading, or even outright false statements. Pyramid or lottery schemes as identified by the FTC, except legitimate gambling and MLM sites
- Content that is non-compliant with our e-commerce code of ethics
Site Seal Qualification
Privacy seal site pre-qualification requirements:
- Privacy seal applicants CANNOT have a poor standing in the global Internet business community (to be verified with several agencies)
- Only if applicable: online transactions (i.e. online payments) to be conducted within the Web site MUST be executed in an encrypted SSL connection, (session encryption strength, server certificate, authentication, and expiry will be analyzed for 'actual' online security provided vs. posted)
- Privacy seal applicants must provide open disclosure with regards to personal information collection through accessible privacy statement
- Privacy seal applicant sites MUST not be involved with any illegal activity
